The IWP Fall Residency brings together established writers who have achieved literary distinction in their own countries as well as rising literary figures who have demonstrated notable potential talent. Fiction and literary non-fiction writers, bloggers, film/television screenwriters, playwrights, and poets are all eligible for participation. The Residency in Iowa City will take place this year from August 19 to November 7, 2017.
Candidates should submit the following documents as an application package:
A Literary-based resume or CV (file must be less than 5 MB. Allowed file types: txt, pdf, doc, docx, rtf, odf, odt)
10-15 pages of poetry or prose translated into English (file must be less than 5 MB. Allowed file types: txt, pdf, doc, docx, rtf, odf, odt)
The original-language text of above translated writing sample (file must be less than 5 MG. Allowed file types: txt, pdf, doc, docs, rtf, odf, odt)
Any additional writing samples (file must be less than 1 MG. Allowed file types: txt, pdf, doc, docs, rtf, odf, odt)
Completed Author Information Form (file must be less than 50 MB. Allowed file type: pdf)
