Call for Projects - Eastern Partnership (Armenia)

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan invites relevant Armenian NGOs to present for consideration their projects within the Eastern Partnership Programme 2017

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan invites relevant Armenian NGOs to present for consideration their projects focused on some of  the following objectives:

- Support to Civil Society, Human rights defenders included

- Support to freedom of expression and access to information, incl. freedom of media

- Support to equal and wide political and public participation

- Support to rule of law institutional building

- Support to equality and non-discrimination

- Support to human rights in the field of employment and environment protection

Financial contribution from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs per project can not exceed 300.000 CZK (11.000 EUR approx.). The aggregate share of personal and travel costs must not exceed 25 % of the amount financed by the Czech side. Project should not be a part and/or co-financing source of larger project. Projects including more Eastern Partnership countries (although this component is not a sine qua non condition) are preferred.

The project proposals must be presented in due form (attached) and include:

- A brief annotation of the project, including objectives and expected activities
- Justification of suitability for realization of such a project
- Budget framework
- A list of basic information about partner organizations (if applies).
Proposals not meeting above mentioned requirements will not be considered.

Presented projects will be submitted (via Czech Embassy in Yerevan) to the Selection Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for final decision. The Committee mainly evaluates 1) formalities of presented proposal, 2) relevance of the project regarding local needs and Eastern Partnership, 3) usefulness of the project, 4) efficiency and effectiveness (use of right indicators, transparent budget structure, cost sharing etc.), 5) sustainability of the project (ownership of the project, capacity, possibility of further financing etc.).

The implementation of the project can start after signing of the contract with the Embassy (approximately in May 2017) and needs to be completed on October 10, 2017 at the latest.

The deadline for submitting of the projects is April 19, 2017, 16:00. Proposals should be sent to yerevan@embassy.mzv.cz.
