On May 16, 2017 EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) held a meeting with Designated Ambassador of Georgia to Brazil Mr. David Solomonia, and Deputy Head of Brazilian Mission to Georgia, Marcus Vinicius Moreira Marinho, as well as, Mr. Almir Américo, representative of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX).
The meeting reflected common readiness for developing business links and merging trade relations between the two countries. As EUGBC Secretary General, Zviad Chumburidze pointed out bilateral trade and economic relations should be developed taking into account huge opportunities stemming from DCFTA with the EU, also free trade agreements with China and CIS Countries. Deputy Head of Mission of Brazil mentioned that Brazilian business sector need to see Georgia as very interesting business dimension, due to its unique location, low tax conditions and zero corruption. Diplomats agreed that the very first step for lunching this process is to raise awareness about Georgia in Brazil and vice versa.
